My trip to the British Virgin Islands. I visited Tortola and The Baths in Virgin Gorda. The people there are great and the water is crystal clear. I can't wait to go back.

This song is from a benefit show we did a couple of days before the British Virgin Islands. The BVI Heritage and Conservation Group is fighting to stop a 600-villa tourist development that would destroy one of the most important fish hatcheries in the nation. Learn more about it at www.bvihcg.com
Untouched Salt Islands, located in the BVI, is home to a forgotten village, a handful of goats, and two large salt ponds. For more hidden gems, visit www.islandlowdown.com.
CASH-STRAPPED VACATIONERS HAVE FOUND A WAY TO TAKE A BREAK
FROM THE SLUMPING DOLLAR. THEY'VE STARTED VISITING LOCALES
LIKE THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS IN THE CARIBBEAN.
A view from The Baths on Virgin Gorda, BVI. The Baths are an unusual geologic formation located on the southern end of Virgin Gorda. The area consists of huge granite boulders that lie in piles on the beach, forming scenic grottoes that are open to the sea. From http://www.islandlowdown.com.
View from Gorda Peak National Park, which is the second highest point in the BVI (1370 feet above sea level).
The park is home to some of the rarest plants found in the Virgin Islands and contains six species of native Orchids. The park (265 acres) was donated to the National Parks Trust by Lawrence Rockefeller in 1974 to be preserved.
A short impression of an island hopping trip in the Caribbean on board De Eendracht from Sint Maarten to the British Virgin Islands, Jost van Dyke, Virgin Gorda, The Baths, The Bitter End and Saba back to Sint Maarten. An incredible sailing trip, best enjoyed with a tropical cocktail in hand.

It was just over a year ago when Clive of British Virgin Islands Tourism turned ITKT readers on to the Painkiller, a popular inebriant on the British Virgin Islands. This year, Clive is back with more of the low-down about sailing the islands and making friends with the locals.
approaching Tortola on Holland America's Noordam Jan. 16th-26th 2008
The largest of the British Virgin Islands, Tortola is known for having some of the best beaches in the Caribbean because of their untouched and underdeveloped natural state. Cane Garden Bay is my favorite, also Brewsers Bay but it can have some rough water depending on when you visit. You won't
