Beijing Radio and Television Station

Beijing Radio and Television Station (北京广播电视台, BRTV) developed the AI智作平台 (AI Intelligent Production Platform), an integrated AIGC content creation system built on an AI Agent orchestration architecture that connects multiple domestic large language models. The platform consolidates text-to-image, text-to-video, digital human, AI editing, and image and video processing capabilities into a unified production environment, enabling station staff to generate text, audio, and visual content in a single operation without switching tools. It supports automated subtitle generation and produces an average of more than 500 short-form videos per day. BRTV was among the earliest broadcasters in China to deploy digital humans at scale, earning first-place awards in the digital virtual human application category at the State Administration of Radio and Television's second and third AI Application Innovation Competitions for productions including its LLM-driven intelligent digital human and the virtual anchor known as Time Nanny (时间小妮). In March 2024, BRTV launched a parallel AI Integrated Media Innovation Laboratory co-organized with the Beijing Academy of Artificial Intelligence, with founding partners including Tencent Cloud, H3C, Zhipu AI, Baichuan Intelligence, Communication University of China, and the State Administration of Radio and Television's Broadcast Science Research Institute, focused on large model construction and media-sector AIGC capability development. By the close of 2025, the station had committed to deepening the AI智作平台 as part of a formal initiative to increase both the volume and quality of natively AI-generated content across its channels.
