The China Advertising Association Digital Metaverse Working Committee — formally 中国广告协会数字元宇宙工作委员会 (CAA Digital Metaverse Working Committee), commonly abbreviated in Chinese as 中广协数字元宇宙工作委员会, 中广协数字元宇宙工委, 数字元宇宙工作委员会, or 数字元宇宙工委, and rendered in English as the CAA / CNAA Digital Metaverse Working Committee — is a second-tier specialised committee of the China Advertising Association (CAA, 中国广告协会, also rendered CNAA, founded 1983), formally established on 16 January 2022 in Beijing under the chairmanship of CAA President Zhang Guohua (张国华), who concurrently serves as the committee's director, with Yuanquan Technology (元圈科技) CEO Song Lei (宋磊) as deputy director. Its founding ceremony was witnessed by the China Vocational Education Society (中华职业教育社), the National Academy of Advertising (国家广告研究院), the China Audio-Video and Digital Publishing Association (中国音像数字出版协会), the Sunshine Seven Stars Investment Group (阳光七星投资集团), and the Beijing Museum Society's Cultural Creativity Committee (北京博物馆学会文创专委会), alongside dozens of leading domestic platform and marketing companies including Alibaba (阿里), Tencent (腾讯), Baidu (百度), NetEase (网易), Sina (新浪), JD.com (京东), Kuaishou (快手), iQiyi (爱奇艺), Youku (优酷), Haopin China (好品中国), BlueFocus (蓝色光标), TianxiaXiu (天下秀), LKK Design (洛可可), and Yuanlong Yatu (元隆雅图). Its operational activities include incubating the Yuanquan (元圈) digital-entrepreneur exchange platform and the recurring Yuanquan Forum (元圈论坛), publishing self-discipline conventions for digital collectibles (数字藏品自律公约), co-hosting the AIGC Metaverse Marketing Conference (AIGC元宇宙营销大会) in 2023, partnering with Electronics City High-Tech (电子城高科) to develop metaverse demonstration bases, and — most consequentially for the digital human (数字人) sector — jointly initiating the Digital Human Data Asset Operation Alliance (数字人数据资产运营联盟) in November 2023 together with the China Digital Human Intellectual Property Evidence Storage and Protection Platform under CNIPA, thereby positioning the committee as the principal industry-association partner for digital human marketing standards, rights-circulation, and metaverse-economy commercialisation in China.
