Shuming Technology (数命科技), operating formally as Shuming Technology (Wuhan) Co., Ltd., is a Wuhan-based AI digital human company headquartered in the Guanggu Software Park. Founded by Luo Biwen, a post-1995 entrepreneur who graduated from UC Santa Cruz in economics, statistics, and computer science, the company was established after Luo returned from Silicon Valley to Wuhan's Guanggu district in 2017 with the goal of applying AI to make expert knowledge accessible at scale. The company's core focus is generative AI-powered digital humans, and since 2022 it has operated with an internal model in which every employee is paired with a personal digital human counterpart used for daily work communication. Its flagship external product is Jing Xiaochu (荆小楚), a museum guide digital human built on a proprietary large model capable of explaining more than 110,000 artifacts across 143 languages; as of late 2025, Jing Xiaochu had been deployed in over 30 museums across China. The company has also developed the Mark印 AI collectible card and multi-modal interaction system, and has registered its digital human algorithm under China's ninth batch of deep synthesis service algorithm filings. Shuming Technology has raised over 100 million RMB in funding, maintains a global operating presence with digital humans as its central product line, and employs a team with an average age under 25.
